SAFE – Sari Torvinen

I make charcoal drawings depicting parts of buildings and living environments as well as archaeological sites where people have once lived. I’m interested in the feeling of safety, which is one of our basic needs.

On the other hand the drawings show signs of the disappearing nature of security. We are trying to optimize safety in life, but it can shake so easily -in private life and society.
