BIO
ART
Plants have been the main inspiration for my artistic production in recent years. They represent a fundamental security for me and I value the many services they provide to the ecosystem and well-being. There is a lot of shared care in the relationship between humans and plants. Plant motifs serve as a platform to examine issues related to ecology, food production, cycles and diversity.
PUBLIC ART
I have taught courses in site-specific and public art at university level and coordinated specialisation studies in public art and art events in public space. I completed my MA studies in public art at LAB University of Applied Sciences in 2025. In my studies, I focused particularly on the possibilities of green art as public art. My thesis, The Triumphal Arch of Worms: Participatory Green Art as Public Art in the Context of Posthumanism and Art Competitions, is freely available on Theseus.
ART TEACHING
I have been teaching visual arts at the university level since 1999, initially as a full-time and currently as a part-time course teacher. I have worked, among other things, as a tutor teacher for the graduates, a painting teacher and a teacher of site-specific art courses.
In addition, I have extensive experience in guiding art enthusiasts in children’s art schools as well as in adults’ art clubs. I have also taught visual arts at Turku University Training School on a part-time basis from 2010 to 2024.
