I´ve visited eager farmers on their (mainly) organic farms/fields and taken my time in studying the plants. Each time I sat there a couple of hours first drawing the individual plants and then photographing them. I gave each farmer one of the drawings and later on I drew portraits of some of the plants at my studio. I like to study them as meticulously as a person whose portrait I’d draw.
